MORT DALY RUNNING FOUNDATION CARNIVAL
We are so looking forward to the Mort Daly Running Foundation Carnival on the weekend back at the South Australian home of pro running, Colley Reserve!
Feature races of the day are the Brenda Pearl 70m Sprint and the Ian Reddaway Open Men’s and Women’s 550 races.
Brenda Pearl OAM has dedicated over 60 years to athletics, beginning her journey as a 13-year-old competitor for the Adelaide Harriers. She started officiating in her teens and earned a reputation as one of the sport’s most respected and diligent volunteer officials. In recognition of her contributions to sport and the community, she received the Order of Australia Medal. Brenda served as a starter with the South Australian Athletic League for more than two decades and was honoured with life membership in 2007.
Ian Reddaway. “Reddas” was a much loved athlete, character and member of the South Australian Athletic League. The honour roll of winners in these 550 open events contains many talented athletes and is a highlight on the calendar!
It is also the last chance for the under 14s to gain points in the Williams Back to School Bolt to put themselves in the Bay Sheff series final.
Racing kicks off at 12 noon. See you there!
The final schedule is on the event page and the live program will be turned on later today.
