Distance Handicapping
Following a request from the Distance handicapper Damian Robinson the Chief Steward and the Management Committee have approved adjustment where necessary of distance handicaps (races 800m and greater).
Adjustments are in line with the League’s desire to produce fairer, more competitive, distance races for the 2024/25 season.
This adjustment will apply to distance athletes having their first run over the distance being handicapped and may result in an increase or decrease in handicap.
Adjusted handicaps will come under the normal review process.
