SAAL Update

The start of the season is coming up so quickly! Here are some updates.

Crystal Brook Classic is now open for nomination! Always a great day with excellent prizemoney and beautiful road trip. Be sure to lock this on ine.

We have some deadlines for race nominations coming up with Marion early bird listed below.

As mentioned last week, in a major improvement for national pro running, you will now see that once registered with us, you can now log on and nominate with the Victorian Athletic League too.

There are some great opportunities to race at VAL double headers on our weekends off this season and the first one at Coben and Mortlake (25-26 October) is now open.

Please make sure that you check your previous results and let us know if there are any issues asap.

DISCRETIONARY LIFTS FOR PARTICIPATION

Marion Gift        

Entries in the 120m Open Men’s and Women’s races will be eligible for .25m discretionary lift at the Bay Sheff.

Crystal Brook    

Entries in the 120m Open Men’s and Women’s races will be eligible for .25m discretionary lift at the Bay Sheff.

Entries in the 400m Open Men’s and Women’s races will be eligible for 1m discretionary lift at Camden.

All the terms & conditions are page 13 of the handicapping guidelines.

SERIES POINTS

Those competing in our Under 18 and Over 35 series will be up for double points at Crystal Brook. Note that you receive points for competing, not just winning.

For both series athletes will accumulate points as follows in nominated races:

Enter (must compete)1 point

2nd in final3 points
1st in final4 points

Points awarded are doubled for country meets – Crystal Brook, Mt Barker, and Loxton.

HELP NEEDED – TRAILER TOWING

Are you able to help tow the equipment trailer to any meets? We would love some extra help and pay $50 per metro meet for assistance. Country meets more. If you can help for one or two meets please contact Jenny admin@saal.org.au or 0400 353 506
