Hi everyone.
It has been a long season and we are all looking forward to our final event, the Belair Picnic meet.
Whilst the carnival has one official 300m race, the last series of the over 35s all the rest of the events are designed such that we have a bit of fun and get together for an end of year celebration.
As per last year’s event at Fox Creek, for this year’s 60m, 300m and 5k races, the handicappers have been requested to handicap everyone to target irrespective of your time in the League, your age in a category, or recent wins. This should ensure tight fun racing! We may also sneak in a couple of fun events for past runners and family members
We will begin with the 300m races followed by races over 60m and the 5k event. We are aiming for 3 races each over the sprint distance with straight out finals over 300m and finalists over 60m based on points scored. We will make sure that the music is on and loud and the songs that we play between races are what you want!
We will be giving out prizes for those with the best moves even if that happens to be on the blocks.
Following the event, as a thank you, we will provide free platters, a good old BBQ and some wine and soft drinks. You will need to BYO Beers.
Finally, we will be presenting the 2024/2025 Season awards and hopefully relaxing in a fantastic atmosphere.
We have also covered your parking fee. Be sure to mention “Belair Picnic Athletic Carnival” on entry.
